2 People Die After Motorcycle and Bicycle Collide on Bayshore Boulevard
Tampa, FL (4/4/2020) – A crash between a motorcycle and a bicycle killed two people on Saturday morning in Tampa. The crash happened around 11:30 a.m. on Bayshore Boulevard near Rome Avenue.
The Tampa Police Department says that three motorcycles were driving north on Bayshore Boulevard when a bicyclist tried to cross the street at a crosswalk at Rome Avenue. One of the motorcyclists hit the bicycle, ejecting both riders from their vehicles. The 30-year-old motorcyclist, whose name hasn’t been released, died at the scene. Emergency responders rushed the 50-year-old bicyclist to the hospital where they later died from their injuries.
A witness states that the three motorcyclists were speeding at the time of the crash, but Tampa police are still investigating the cause of the accident.
