23-Year-Old Dead in Crash with Dump Truck

Holiday, FL (12/07/2019) – Xavier Deshawn Brown, 23, died in a car crash on Saturday morning around 6 am. The crash occurred on U.S. 19 when the dump truck turned onto the road from Sunray Drive.

Mr. Brown, driving a 2012 Kia Forte, failed to slow for traffic and ran into a 1997 Ford dump truck. It is unknown if alcohol is a factor in the crash. Mr. Brown did not wear a seatbelt at the time of the crash. He died at the scene.

Our hearts go out to all of those impacted by this tragedy. Car accidents like this one occur far too often in Florida. Fatal car accidents should get thoroughly investigated so that the cause of the collision understood, and the responsible party identified and, if warranted, held accountable.
