Pinellas Park, FL (4/14/2020) – A man died Tuesday morning after being involved in a collision at a Pinellas Park intersection. The accident happened around 8:00 a.m. at the intersection of Park Boulevard and Belcher Road.
According to the Pinellas Park Police Department, Nathan Marcum was driving his Chrysler 200 south on Belcher Road when he stopped at the intersection for a red light. Another driver, whose name has not been released, was heading west on Park Boulevard in their Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo and entered the intersection during a green light. Police say that Marcum entered the intersection at the same time for unknown reasons, hitting the Jeep.
The collision caused the Chrysler to spin and hit another vehicle that was stopped at the light. First responders attempted to rescue Marcum, but he passed away at the scene from his injuries. Police are still investigating the cause of the accident and don’t believe alcohol or speeding to be factors in the crash.
