Hillsborough County, FL (11/17/2019) – A man from Central Florida died in a crash early Sunday morning. The crash happened on Interstate 275 at mile marker 55 near Bearss Avenue around 4 am.

Cliff J. Pierre Jacques, 32, drove north when his BMW sedan left the road at high speed. Mr. Jacques failed to negotiate the curves in the street. The BMW traveled off the east side of the road and collided with a tree.

The force of the impact caused the car to split in half and ignite. The BMW disintegrated. Jacques died at the scene of the crash. Police said that alcohol did play a role in the collision.

Our hearts go out to all of those impacted by this tragedy. Car accidents like this one occur far too often in Florida. It’s essential that fatal car accidents be thoroughly investigated so that the cause of the collision can be understood, and the responsible party can be identified and, if warranted, held accountable.
