Motorcyclist Dead in U.S. 301 Crash

Pasco County, FL (11/23/2019) – David Engberg, 29, died in a collision Saturday afternoon. The crash happened on U.S. 301 near Daughtry Road around 12:25 pm.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a Chevrolet Sonic driven by Shirley Ann Brooks, 73, failed to yield and turned into the path of the oncoming motorcycle driven by Mr. Engberg.
Engberg wore a helmet but died from his injuries at the scene of the collision. Ms. Brooks suffered minor injuries. EMTs transported her to Advent Health Zephyrhills for treatment.
Police stated that alcohol was not a factor in the crash and that charges are pending.
