Pasco County, FL (2/27/2020) – A crash between an SUV and a car on US 301 left one person dead and another critically wounded on Wednesday night. The accident occurred around 9:45 p.m. on US 301 just south of Ashbrook Drive.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, 43-year-old April Ann Musgrove was driving her 2013 Chevy Malibu south on US 301 when a 2006 GMC Sierra going north went over the median and hit her head-on. The driver of the GMC, 28-year-old Donathan Paul Buck II, partially entered the shoulder of the road, overcorrected, and lost control of his vehicle. After hitting Musgrove, the GMC flipped over.

Musgrove died at the scene of the accident. Emergency services rushed Buck to Lakeland Regional Hospital with critical injuries. Troopers are still investigating the cause, but they don’t suspect alcohol to be a factor in the crash.
