Tampa Car Accident Kills Local Man

Deputies are looking into a Tampa car accident that has claimed the life of a local man. Thomas James Nott, a 22 year old man from Tampa, was killed while driving his 2006 Yamaha motorcycle in Odessa at about 2:15 a.m. Sunday morning. The motorcyclist was driving southbound on Crawley Road when he lost control while attempting to brake around a curve. Nott slammed into a tree and landed in a culvert. He was pronounced dead at the scene. He was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.

The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office is still investigating the cause of the accident. It is unknown if drugs or alcohol played a role in the death. According to authorities, an autopsy is being conducted.
