Tampa Man Killed in Hit-and-Run in Pasco County

New Port Richey, FL (10/27/2019) – A man died after being struck by a driver early Sunday, October 27. The crash happened around 1:12 am on U.S. 19 south of Sea Ranch Drive.

Alonzo Maurice Milton, 40, crossed a highway in Pasco County early that morning. A southbound vehicle struck him and fled the scene. Mr. Milton died in the crash. 

Police found a piece of a chrome bumper and a bleach bucket and towel at the scene. They believe the driver is in a large Dodge or Chevrolet truck and possibly works for a pool maintenance company. 

Our hearts go out to all of those impacted by this tragedy. Pedestrian accidents like this one occur far too often in Florida.
