Woman Arrested for DUI Manslaughter After Killing One in Crash on Alamo Drive

Tampa, FL (3/9/2020) – A Tampa woman was arrested for DUI manslaughter in connection with an accident that killed another person Friday morning. The crash occurred just before 2:00 a.m. on Adamo Drive.
The Tampa Police Department states that Tanaya Marcia Davis, 35, was driving west on Adamo Drive when she lost control of her car and crashed into the side of another vehicle. The person in the other vehicle, whose name has not been released, died at the scene of the accident.
When police arrived, they arrested Davis because she showed signs of impairment. Her blood alcohol count was between 0.143 and 0.137, which is nearly two times the legal limit in Florida. Police booked Davis into the Hillsborough County Jail on a $7,500 bail. She was released after someone posted bail on Sunday morning.
