23-Year-Old Man Arrested for DUI Manslaughter After Fatal Crash in St. Petersburg

St. Petersburg, FL (1/21/2020) – 23-year-old Arttonyo Lee Jr. was arrested Monday night for DUI manslaughter after causing a fatal accident. The crash occurred at 9:00 p.m. at the intersection of 18th Avenue South and 22nd Street South.

St. Petersburg Police say that Lee was speeding down 18th Avenue South when he ran a red light and crashed into 38-year-old Latoya Roundtree. Emergency services rushed Roundtree to Bayfront Health, where she was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.

Lee also sustained injuries in the accident. He was arrested at the hospital for vehicular homicide, DUI manslaughter, possession of marijuana, and violation of probation. Police say that Lee showed several signs of impairment. Results from his blood test are pending.
