Hit-and-Run on Gandy Boulevard Leaves 6-Year-Old Girl Seriously Injured

St. Petersburg, FL (5/14/2020) – A 6-year-old girl is in serious condition after a motorcyclist struck her outside of an apartment complex on Wednesday night. The crash happened at about 10:30 p.m. at the 10600 block of Gandy Boulevard near Derby Lane.
The Florida Highway Patrol says that the girl was crossing Gandy Boulevard when she was hit by a motorcyclist heading west who immediately fled the scene of the crash. Troopers found a piece of the motorcycle that broke off during the collision and posted it on social media in hopes that someone will come forward with information.
Investigators did not state if the girl was accompanied by any adults or walking with other children when she was hit. If you have any information about this hit-and-run, please call the Florida Highway Patrol at 813-558-1800.
