St. Petersburg, FL (12/05/2019) – A crash on I-275 sent a truck into a nearby home on Thursday morning. The crash happened around 7 am.

Robert Kuzdale, 32, drove his pickup truck along I-275. He failed to slow for traffic ahead of him. His vehicle crashed into the back of a car and veered into the shoulder.

The truck went through a Florida Department of Transportation Fence and a private fence before colliding with a nearby home. Kuzdale suffered minor injuries. There are no reported injuries from people inside the house.

The home suffered “non-structural damage,” according to the incident report. The cause of the crash is still under investigation.

Our hearts go out to all of those impacted by this tragedy. Vehicle wrecks in Florida like this one occur far too often. It’s essential that car accidents be thoroughly investigated so that the cause of the collision can be understood, and the responsible party can be identified and, if warranted, held accountable.
