One Dead, Four Injured in an Accident Involving a Jack-Knifed Semi in Hernando County
Hernando County, FL (2/4/2020) – A crash involving four vehicles left one person dead and several injured Monday afternoon. The accident occurred at about 4:10 p.m. on State Road 50 near Riverland Clay Sink Road.
Florida Highway Patrol states that Jose Moreno, 38, was driving west on State Road 50 in his Chevy Malibu when he lost control and veered into the eastbound lane. He hit a Mack tractor-trailer driven by Oscar Paraza, 38, which then caused the tractor-trailer to cross into the westbound lane.

Emergency services rushed Easter to the hospital, who was pronounced dead on arrival. Moreno and his passengers, Adrian Reyes, 28, and Genesis Reyna, 6, were taken to Lakeland Regional Hospital.
