Pedestrian Severely Injured After a Crash in Clearwater

Clearwater, FL (12/19/19) – On Thursday night, Clearwater Police and Clearwater Fire Rescue responded to an accident at 8:30pm. The accident, involving a male pedestrian, occurred at block 1700 on North Highland Avenue.
The pedestrian suffered severe injuries after a car struck him. Rescue services took the pedestrian to St. Joseph’s Hospital in Tampa via Bayflite.
The driver of the vehicle cooperated with investigators and stayed at the scene of the accident.
Clearwater Police closed Highland Avenue between Greenlea Drive and Sandy Lane to conduct an investigation into the cause.
