21-Year-Old Woman Dies After Single-Car Crash on Interstate 4

Tampa, FL (5/8/2020) – According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a single-car crash on I-4 Friday morning left one Brandon woman dead. The accident occurred around 9:00 a.m. near the US 301 exit, just west of I-75.
Troopers say an unnamed 21-year-old woman was driving her car west on I-4 when she lost control of her vehicle. She then crashed into a highway sign pole on the shoulder of the road. Emergency responders pronounced her dead at the scene.
Troopers are still unsure why or how the woman lost control of her vehicle and are still investigating the cause of the crash.
