Lehigh Acres, FL (3/26/2020) – Three people were seriously injured after a head-on collision involving three vehicles Thursday morning. The accident happened on State Road 82 at Gun Club Road.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, 52-year-old Acquimene Louis XVI was heading west on State Road 82 in a construction zone when he tried to pass traffic in a no passing zone. Louis veered into the eastbound lane while passing vehicles and struck a vehicle driven by 18-year-old Kendra Rivera head-on. Both Rivera and her passenger, 26-year-old Martray Harris, were seriously injured.

Louis’ car then rotated and struck 53-year-old Holly Christiano, who was driving behind him in an unmarked Lee County Sheriff’s Office vehicle. Christiano did not sustain any injuries in the collision.

Rivera, Harris, and Louis were rushed to Lee Memorial Hospital, where Louis is still in critical condition. The Florida Highway Patrol states that charges are pending against Louis for his reckless driving.
