4 People Injured, Including 1 Child, in Crash on Hillsborough Avenue

Tampa, FL (2/25/2020) – A young child and three adults sustained injuries in a multi-car crash on Tuesday night. The accident occurred on East Hillsborough Avenue at North 34th Street in Tampa around 6:39 p.m.
According to the Tampa Police Department, a car was driving west on Hillsborough Avenue when it crossed the median and hit two vehicles traveling east. One man was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries while another was examined for chest pain. In addition, a woman and a child were transported to the hospital with critical injuries.
The names of the drivers and passengers involved have not been released.
The Tampa Police Department briefly closed Hillsborough Avenue between 34th Street and 40th Street to investigate the cause of the crash, which has not yet been determined.
