Motorcyclist in Critical Condition After I-275 Crash

St. Petersburg, FL (11/21/2019) – A motorcyclist suffered severe injuries in a crash on Thursday. The crash happened on northbound I-275 around 9:35 am.
The collision involved a Chevrolet Malibu, a Nissan Rogue, and a motorcycle. Traffic slowed near 54th Avenue S. at that time. The driver of the Chevrolet Malibu, Diane A. Carker, 58, failed to slow down and stop for the stalled traffic. She hit the 56-year-old motorcyclist in front of her, causing him to run into the Nissan in front of him.
Paramedics transported the 56-year-old Bayfront man to Bayfront health in serious condition. No one else suffered from injuries in the crash.
Charges are pending for the driver of the Malibu.
