14-Year-Old Killed in Pasco County Bicycle Crash

New Port Richey, FL (3/10/2020) – According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a 14-year-old was killed Tuesday morning while biking to school. The crash occurred at the intersection of Slidell Road and Moon Lake Road around 7:25 a.m.
Troopers state that Jayden Relyea was riding his bicycle east on Slidell Road towards River Ridge High School. When he went through the intersection, he was hit by a Jeep Wrangler driven by 61-year-old Ann M. Feeney. Emergency responders took Relyea to Regional Medical Center Bayonet Point and was pronounced dead on arrival.
The cause of the accident is still under investigation by the Florida Highway Patrol. No charges have been filed against the Jeep driver.
