Tampa Man Dies in Fiery I-4 Crash Thursday

Mango, FL (11/28/2019) – A 51-year-old man from Tampa died in a fiery crash early Thanksgiving morning. The crash happened on westbound I-4 near Mango Road around 12:20 am.

Florida Highway Patrol stated that the man drove a Pontiac G5 west on I-4 when he collided with a parked tow truck. The tow truck parked on the shoulder of the road. The Pontiac burst into flames, and the driver died at the scene.

Police are still investigating the cause of the crash. The name of the victim is unknown, pending the notification of the next of kin.
